SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire.
Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated.

Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.

Major Duties:
Duties include: Exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in supporting and performing task (e.g., environment of care, textile distribution and training) Assigning staff for routine and non-routine duties on a daily and a project-by-project basis.
Cleaning of all patient areas, corridor spaces throughout Medical Center, Operating Rooms, and all other areas as assigned.
Plans daily and weekly assignments, scheduling periodic work for areas of responsibility, taking into consideration the availability of personnel and equipment to meet established priorities.
Schedules regular meetings with staff to make them aware of new procedures or directives.
Keeps subordinates abreast of proper methods, procedures and uses of equipment and supplies; control the use of supplies and equipment to affect cost control within the unit.
Approves leave requests for subordinates, counsels' employees, and recommends disciplinary action to a higher-level supervisor whenever non-compliance with policy warrants.
Performs quality inspection of assigned areas, recording discrepancies in cleanliness, needed maintenance repairs, broken or inadequately stored furnishings and equipment.
Performs within established guidelines, operating procedures and department and Medical Center policy.
Inspects assigned areas to ensure the timely accomplishment of employee assignments, sanitation levels are maintained, equipment is properly cared for and that associated housekeeping objectives in an expedient and timely manner.
Conduct in-use testing of equipment and/or supplies, providing feedback in regard to their observations.
Work Schedule: Sunday - Saturday, All shifts (7:00 am - 3:30 pm; 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; 11:00 pm - 7:30 am). Subject to change based on the need of the facility.
Position Description Title/PD#: Environmental Services Technician - Housekeeping Aid Supervisor/PD99911S Physical Requirements: The position demands continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing.
The work requires the occasional use of heavy powered cleaning equipment (e.g., wall washers, industrial type buffers) weighing over 50 pounds.
The duties necessitate considerable dexterity, hand, foot, and eye coordination, and concentration as well as visual acuity to see dirt, dust and debris.
Working Conditions: Work is normally performed indoors with adequate heat, light, and ventilation.
Some work may be performed outdoors where there may be exposed to varying degrees of heat and cold as well as inclement weather.
PPE may be required in some circumstance as exposure to possible contagious diseases, blood and bloody secretion are inherent to this position.
Care is required to avoid serious injuries (i.e., broken bones) when working on ladders, or when using 30-100-pound power equipment or handling hazardous materials.
