Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Environmental Management System (EMS) Program Manager, Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP) Coordinator and the Risk Management Program (RMP) Manager for Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH).
  • You will integrate environmental accountability into the installation's day-to-day decision making and long-term planning processes across all installation tenant and activity missions, activities and functions.
  • You will develop and coordinate the EMS Cross Functional Team, comprised of base leaders and unit environmental coordinators.
  • You will work to identify program deficiencies and work to develop and execute corrective actions and best management practices.
  • You will manage, oversee any budget requirements that fall under you as a Program Manager for the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Comprehensive Environmental Training and Education Program (CETEP).
  • You will coordinate with other environmental program managers to identify potential impacts to the environment (aspects); you will work with them to develop strategies for addressing identified environmental aspects.
