Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5.
For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7.The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service.
An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement.

Major Duties:
Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a formal, comprehensive Quality Assurance program encompassing all functions and programs for which Environmental Management Service has responsibility.
The program must meet all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to TJC, OSHA, EPA and quality standards developed by VACO Environmental Program Services (EPS).
Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the Sanitation, Infection Control, Waste Management, Pest Control, Textile Care Plant, Service Contracts and a large housekeeping (day to day and maintenance) functions.
Schedule, coordinate and monitor all aspects of Environmental Management Programs continuous education.
As training coordinator, you will monitor Service orientation, monthly training for employees within the Service to include remedial training as required for all EMS staff.
Functions as the Service's central technical representative regarding contract compliance for Pest Management, leased space sanitation and off station textile care contracts.
Serve as advisor to the Chief EMS on all matters pertaining to the EMS Quality Assurance Program.
As QA program manager, you are required to monitor regular waste removal, contaminated waste removal, multiply recycling removal processes, pest control activities and housekeeping activities from all campuses and Community Based Outpatient Clinics and textile care operations.
Other duties may be assigned.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
