Requirements

Why it's a great opportunity: In this position supporting the County’s Maintenance on Operations team, you will plan, permit, inspect, and create reports on road, bridge, facility and airport maintenance.

You will also do field inspections of maintenance projects, wetland identification, and determine types of wetlands.

You will work with other Planning and Public Works Divisions such as Development Services to determine the environmental impact of maintenance projects.

This position will ensure that our infrastructure maintenance is completed with minimal environmental impact.

Core daily responsibilities:

• Review development plans and monitor projects to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assist in the enforcement of violations of County ordinances relating to federal, state, and local guidelines and procedures.
• Coordinate project activities with other section members, other County departments, other agencies, and applicants.
• Participate in technical review meetings

Qualifications

• A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
• Additional education or related experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements.
• Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in botany, biology, environmental studies, fisheries, soil science, wildlife biology or related field, AND
• Two years of related work experience.
• A Valid Driver’s License is required for this position.
