Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineering technician for the Navy, focusing on supporting and maintaining aircraft systems like hydraulics, flight controls, and fuel systems to keep military planes in service.
You'll troubleshoot issues, recommend repairs, and help with modifications for assigned aircraft programs.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expertise in Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering; Developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support; Effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions.
