Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Utilizes practical knowledge of engineering methods and techniques to perform the following office engineering duties associated with construction contract management and administration at a Construction Area Office.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience Requirements:GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing administration support functions to perform analysis of data in support of construction projects; and 2) maintaining fiscal documents and executing progress payments.

  • Review and approve contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractors and project teams to manage submissions and project progress.
  • Process and verify payments to contractors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
