Full Job Description

You will serve as a Project Support Engineer in the Engineering Department of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical engineering advisory services or guidance through investigations, research and analysis to resolve unusual or unprecedented engineering problems in support of shipboard engineering projects.

  • You will provide engineering support and technical services to units of U.S. Naval Fleet.
  • You will be responsible for conducting independent engineering studies, investigations, research, and analysis for the solution of unusual or unprecedented engineering problems.
  • You will prepare and direct the development of engineering reports and correspondence related to specific work projects on assigned ships.
  • You will Initiate and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • You will participate in departmental and divisional training assessments, surveys, and evaluations.
  • You will lead in addressing technical issues and coordinating resolution of technical authority issues.
  • You will provide oversight of the contractor's technical performance of shipboard work for compliance to contract specifications.
