Full Job Description

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Project Planning Division (Code 241) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading technical engineering ship repair projects (such as planning and estimating) to include verifying records of accountability, developing or mentoring others and collaborating with colleagues to meet mission objectives.

  • You will receive, monitor, and track all work being authorized by the Business and Strategic Planning Office (BSPO) for planning and execution by the Shipyard for assigned projects.
  • You will work with the Project Engineering Planning Manager (PEPM) to set up and maintain Project Management, Engineering and Planning Department (E/PD) and other direct support budgets.
  • You will coordinate all engineering and planning efforts between Ships Availability Planning and Engineering Center (SHAPEC), E/PD, Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department to support the project.
  • You will ensure that appropriate Component Unit (CU) Databases are initiated and maintained for assigned projects.
  • You will perform lead engineering duties for E/PD personnel assigned to projects when their is no PEPM or few other E/PD personnel assigned.
