Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineering technician at a naval ship repair facility, where you'll plan and coordinate test programs for ships being overhauled, repaired, or modernized to ensure they meet technical standards.
You'll act as the main point of contact for non-nuclear system tests and review work documents to identify necessary certifications.
It's a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in ship maintenance or engineering testing, who thrives in a structured military environment and can handle detailed planning.
You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Test and Work Control Branch of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing system test services of ships undergoing overhaul, repair or modernization to meet technical and operational requirements.
