About the position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Pine Bluff Arsenal.

This position serves as an Engineering Equipment Operator operating one or more types of engineer equipment to fine grade slopes, inclines,ramps, curves, and excavations by scraping, scooping, rolling, or leveling on rough and rocky terrain or dense forest areas.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Engineering Equipment Operator without more than normal supervision.

I have the ability to perform common duties which include operating bulldozers, front end loaders, backhoes, trench diggers, and dump truck.

I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision Ability to Drive Safely (Motor Vehicles) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc.

(related to mobile equipment operation) Ability To Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle) Operation of Motor Vehicles Reliability and Dependability as a Engineering Equipment Operator Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean, and in order) Physical Effort: Continuous physical activity and muscular efforts are required in operating of numerous levers and brakes.

Makes continual control changes or changes to the position of attachments.

Working Conditions: Work is performed outside in an open driver's seat or within an enclosed cab and on flat land, slopes, steep inclines, and grades; subject to burns, noise, dust, dirt, fumes and jolts.

Constant danger of tipping or overturning vehicles. Major Duties:

  • Operates all types and sizes of earth moving equipment and attachments to specifications set by engineer.
  • Performs crane operations and use attachments to precisely load /unload a variety of material.
  • Produces finished grade on roads.
  • Operates a 5-ton semi-trailer/truck equipped with a low-boy trailer.
  • Opens and builds drainage ditches.
