This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a ENGINEERING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR TRAINING LEADER, Position Description Number D1530000, and is part of the SC SCARNG TRNG SITE CMD, South Carolina Army National Guard.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): Area of Consideration: This position is open to Area 1 Only.
Area 1: Current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2) Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Army National Guard Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience or training using common hand and power tools and a small variety of test and measurement devices to make mechanical repairs.
Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories.
Experience which demonstrates a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to vehicles; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments.
Experience demonstrating an understanding of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships.
Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.

This position is located in an ANG Regional Equipment Operator Training School (REOTS) or a Regional Training Site (RTS).
The primary purpose of this position is to instruct and lead Civil Engineering personnel in the operation of engineering and construction equipment.
Work involves the operation of gasoline or diesel-powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as graders, tractors with bulldozer or angle-dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments.
This equipment is used to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials, and to maintain ditches, road shoulders and beds and fire lines
