The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Highways and Aviation, is looking for an Engineering Associate to help us Keep Alaska Moving!
What you will be doing:
Collaborate with the Regional Maintenance Engineer to develop the Region’s force account preventive maintenance (PM) program and maintain auditable records of completed work.
Work with M&O forces to develop procedures and processes that ensure accurate construction records and support informed decision-making for future projects.
Administer the Aggregate Stockpiling Program by understanding material site resources and site-specific requirements.
Manage new production contracts; coordinate with district staff to identify future material needs, quality requirements, and material types; and work with internal and external partners to secure material sale agreements, permits, mining plans, and other documentation required for production.

The working environment you can expect:
This position is based in Fairbanks.The DOT&PF complex is on Peger Road, where design, construction, maintenance, and support staff are all within walking distance.
The M&O Support Team works on capital project delivery, planning, reconnaissance, and innovation through daily collaboration in the office, field, and on Microsoft Teams.
