Full Job Description

You will serve as the Distributed Common Ground System - Navy Project Manager, with an official position title of ENGINEER in the Fleet C4I Department (01C00) of NIWC ATLANTIC, where you will be responsible for meeting the cost, schedule, and performance expectations of assigned projects with regards to directing, planning, executing, and overseeing the success of the program/systems development, production, and sustainment.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or ND-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expertise in leading complex, large scale engineering and computer science projects managing all phases of program development, including planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement; Influencing resource allocation and addresing significant or unstructured challenges to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.

  • You will evaluate and ensure consistency and accuracy of stakeholder needs and translate them into realization.
  • You will manage the research, development, test, evaluation, engineering, integration and sustainment to meet mission requirements of the project(s)/programs.
  • You will manage the formulation of engineering and computer science approaches of a major project(s)/program(s) extensive in scope to resolve a variety of technological problems.
  • You will manage high-ranking stakeholder requirements from external agencies which may include highly unstructured settings to justify, defend, negotiate, or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.
  • You will represent the command within high level committees and groups with the responsibility and authority to defend the activity's position, influence resource allocation, and effect major changes to project(s)/program(s) goals.
