Full Job Description

You will serve as a ENGINEER in the role of IPT (Integrated Product Team) Lead of 01C53 (USCG), within the 01C50 (FMS AIR INTEGRATION USCG) Division in the 01C00 (FLEET C41) Department of NIWC ATLANTIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or ND-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: solving multifaceted complex problems related to cost / schedule / performance / resource management, building coalitions across agencies and within the command, communicating effectively (both oral and written), understanding and mentoring junior staff on program management, and understanding budgeting and fiscal responsibility in the DON or USCG.

  • You will lead the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to manage cost, schedule, and performance for assigned projects, ensuring successful program development and research outcomes.
  • You will oversee research, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment to meet mission requirements across major projects or programs.
  • You will represent IPT in high-level committees to defend activity positions, influence resource allocation, and resolve significant or controversial issues.
  • You will develop and manage Project Management Plans, System Engineering Plans, Risk Management Plans, and other strategies following industry and command best practices.
  • You will manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate discussions to address project requirements, risks, and deliverables.
  • You will monitor project progress, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
