Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as an engineer to support and troubleshoot complex weapons and combat systems on naval ships, including tasks like research, design, training, and documentation throughout the system's lifecycle.
It's ideal for experienced engineers who enjoy hands-on technical work in a military environment and have a background in solving engineering problems for defense equipment.

You will serve as an ENGINEER in the SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPT, of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.
The ND-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional Engineer providing in-service engineering and technical support to resolve complex engineering challenges for shipboard combat and weapons systems.
