You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (NUCLEAR REACTORS) in the COMSUBRON FIFTEEN The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions.
This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP), including experience as a NNPP operator with experience operating and maintaining nuclear-powered warships.
Experience with reactor plant equipment and radioactive material associated with NNPP. Experience developing, maintaining, and coordinating emergency procedures, equipment and facilities.
GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Assisting with emergencies associated with the nuclear reactor plant , reactor equipment and radioactive material associated with the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP).
- Assisting with developing, maintaining and coordinating emergency procedures, equipment and facilities within cognizant areas of responsibility.
- Assisting in preparing, monitoring and administering the radiological emergency planning program policies and procedures for radiological emergency response to NPWs in Guam.
- Identifying actual or potential problem areas with project or program execution and initiate or direct corrective action.
