Base salary range: $51,332 - $66,732
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-8. Master's degree or 2 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping manage emergency situations at a Navy installation, including running the emergency operations center, advising on preparedness plans, and briefing leaders on response strategies.

You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (EOC) in the INSTALLATION EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY BETHESDA Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) providing technical proficiency for emergency management/services and emergency operations center (EOC) management 2) Assess and resolve communication/emergency notification issues with effective oral and written communication skills 3) Act as SME for display systems, to include Video Teleconference (VTC) systems and decision-making software systems.
