Base salary range: $46,479 - $60,424

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves maintaining and repairing electronic systems, especially communication equipment, for the Navy in Virginia.
You'll troubleshoot issues, design improvements, and ensure everything runs safely and reliably.

You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the GROUND ELECTRONICS MAINTENANCE DIVISION DIVISION, AIR OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSTA.
GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Troubleshoots and repairs complex microelectronic circuits, 2) Design communications systems and equipment for customers, 3) Develop modifications to electronic equipment to change its operation characteristics and improve reliability, and 4) Establish methods and procedures for preventative maintenance of communication systems.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Troubleshoots and repairs microelectronic circuits, 2) Assist in the design of communications systems and equipment for customers, and 3) Contribute to developing of modifications to electronic equipment to change its operation characteristics and improve reliability.
