This job involves leading a team of electronics mechanics in the Army National Guard, where you'll plan work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure repairs on electronic systems and equipment are done right, while also jumping in to do hands-on work when needed.
It's a supervisory role focused on keeping military gear operational through maintenance and safety protocols.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D0718000 and is part of the CO CSMS 07, National Guard.
The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work.
Military Grades: E-8 thru W-2 1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. 2.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume. Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following: 1.
Experience in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment. 2.
Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. 3.
Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. 4.
Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc. 5.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications. 6.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. 7.
Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. 8.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.
Major Duties:
Planning: Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
Work Direction: Assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas.
Administration: Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedules and approves leave of subordinates.
Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals. Performs the nonsupervisory work of the function as needed.
Implements regulatory safety requirements an ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.
