Full Job Description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT REPAIRER INSPECTOR-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1207000 and is part of the KY CSMS, National Guard.

***Effective start dates of selected candidate will be determined based on available authorizations and funding.*** MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and making adjustments and settings according to established specifications.

Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 18 months experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification.

Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.

Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates (Example 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981 or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981), work schedule, and hours worked per week of employment.

Major Duties:

As a ELECTRONICS EQUIPMENT REPAIRER INSPECTOR-TITLE 32, WG-2604-12, you will troubleshoot, perform maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical and automotive vehicles.

Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul major systems. Troubleshoot equipment and diagnose the cause of mechanical failures.

Remove and disassemble engines and major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems.

Independently perform repairs and maintenance functions by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems.

Conduct readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and equipment. Perform operational inspections and ensure vehicles and equipment are properly serviced.

May maintain and repair equipment to include removing and replacing components and elements. Perform other duties as assigned.
