Full Job Description

You will serve as an Electronics Engineer in the Fleet Support Team (FST) Group of FLTREADCEN EAST.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support.

2.) Managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system. 3.) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions.

  • You will oversee development or evaluation of engineering and logistics documents, engineering change proposals, technical directives, inspection/maintenance requirements, repairs and redesign of the platforms systems and components.
  • You will recommend and propose personnel actions to higher levels of supervision leadership.
  • You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of major modifications for the program.
  • You will monitor performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analyses and support services.
  • You will develop cost analysis tradeoffs for varying degrees of capability to ensure requirements are balanced with affordability
