Job Description

Summary

This job involves maintaining and repairing various types of material handling equipment, like electric and combustion-powered forklifts, scooters, and carts used in warehouses.

Workers diagnose issues, replace parts such as motors and valves, and inspect equipment to ensure it's safe and functional.

ALBE TO REPLACE BEARINGS, DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS ON MULTIPLE SWITCH ASSEMBLIES. REPAIRS HYDRAULIC LIFT SYSTEMS, ELECTRICALLY PROPELLED SCOOTERS.

OVERHUALS AND REPAIRS COMBUSTION POWERED FORKLIFT EQUIPMENT BY INSTALLING SHORT BLOCK ASSEMBLIES AND MAKING VALVE REPLACEMENTS OR REFINISHING, REPLACEING VALVE SPRINGS AND ROCKER ARMS.

  • You will perform direct and general support maintenance on a variety of electrical and combustion-powered material handling equipment such as warehouse forklift equipment and small electrically powered equipment such as scooters or carts.
  • You will repair electric forklift equipment by removing defective drive and hydraulic system motors.
  • You will overhaul and repair combustion powered forklift equipment by installing short block assemblies and making necessary valve replacement or refinishing, replacing valve springs and rocker arms, etc.
  • You will perform receiving inspections on equipment to determine the extent of repairs necessary.
