Job Description
Summary
This job is for an experienced electrician working at a Bureau of Reclamation site in Fort Smith, Montana, where you'll maintain, install, and repair electrical systems in power plants and equipment to support water management and environmental protection in the western U.S.

Key Requirements
- Journey-level experience as a power system electrician, performing maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry, including medium and high-voltage power generation and distribution
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manufacturer's instructions
- Proficiency in using and maintaining electrical machines, power tools, and hand tools
- Adherence to safe clearance procedures, safety standards, and operation of high-voltage switches
- At least 2 points on the screen-out job elements and an average of 2 points on all job elements per OPM Federal Wage System evaluation
- Meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by January 20, 2026, including relevant paid or volunteer experience
