Full Job Description
York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.
The Electrical Line Worker Instructor performs the following functions:
Provides students with appropriate course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines). Adheres to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction.
Provides appropriate and timely feedback. Maintains a positive environment for optimum student performance. Provides for and values appropriate student input.
Maintains accepted standards of achievement.
Coordinates and promotes educational services that strengthen workforce development in the community.
Collaborates with community organizations, secondary schools, and professional associations to promote the College. Serves on advisory committees as requested.
Maintains a cooperative working relationship with College personnel. Adds value to the achievement of the Division’s goals of sustainability.
Requirements
At least five years experience performing duties as a Class A line worker in the electric or telecom industry required A high school diploma and at least five years of utility industry and training-related experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Qualifications
Valid class A or B commercial driver’s license is preferred.
