Job Description
Summary
This role involves leading and managing the Cardiovascular Technology program at a community college, including overseeing classes in invasive and echocardiography techniques, scheduling, student advising, recruitment, and developing the curriculum.
It also requires teaching courses and ensuring the program meets educational standards while promoting it to the community.
A good fit would be someone with a background in cardiac sonography who enjoys teaching and has experience in program administration at a college level.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a health or social sciences-related field, or an associate's degree with demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline
- Registration in non-invasive cardiovascular specialty (cardiac sonography)
- Valid licensure in the relevant cardiovascular field
- Ability to provide program leadership, management, planning, and administration
- Experience in curriculum and instructional development, including assessment of learning outcomes
- Skills in student advisement, recruitment, retention, and program marketing
- Teaching experience at the two-year college level (preferred)
