This job involves leading food preparation and service in a psychiatric hospital, where you'll make and deliver meals tailored to patients' health needs while keeping everything clean and safe.
It's a hands-on role in a team setting, perfect for someone who enjoys cooking for large groups, stays calm under pressure, and cares about helping people in a healthcare environment.
The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with potential extra pay for mostly on-site work.
DSHS WSH Food Service Worker Lead
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Lead Food Service Worker with a passion for helping people to join our team at Western State Hospital (WSH).
In this role you will perform and participate in routine work serving and preparing regular and therapeutic dietary meals in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.
Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 10:30 am – 7:00 pm with Sunday and Monday off.Some of what you'll be doing:

Who should apply?
Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler’s permit.
And
One year of experience in quantity or institutional food preparation and serving.
