Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a lead licensed practical nurse working night shifts at a secure facility on McNeil Island, where you'll provide hands-on medical and mental health care to residents who are civilly committed for serious offenses, including administering medications, monitoring health changes, and supporting rehabilitation plans.
It's ideal for a compassionate nurse with leadership experience who enjoys teamwork in a behavioral health setting and doesn't mind ferry commutes to a scenic, isolated location.
The role involves educating residents on their care and ensuring smooth clinic and pharmacy operations under supervision.
DSHS SCC Licensed Practical Nurse 4 Join our team at the Special Commitment Center (SCC), on McNeil Island, as a Licensed Practical Nurse 4 (LPN4) on the night shift team to play a key leadership role in providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care.
In this role, the LPN4 provides excellent nursing care to residents who are detained and/or civilly committed and assists them in addressing their medical care, mental health care and sexual offending histories under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor.
This role also assists with medical clinic and pharmacy operations to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality healthcare services for residents.
Located on McNeil Island, where you will take a ferry to arrive at SCC, our facility is surrounded by nature, wildlife, old history and amazing views of Mount Rainier and the beautiful Puget sound.
