Requirements

This position is eligible for full benefits. This is a term-limited position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027 contingent upon funding.

This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work primarily remotely after completing up to five days of in-office training at 1525 Sherman Street, Denver, CO.

This position assists the Medicaid Unit by processing and analyzing documents and pleadings for the administrative law judges.

This position acts as technical support by maintaining control over documents and procedures and assisting in complex case processing matters.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Scheduling - Process and schedule hearings within statutorily mandated timeframes.

  • Certificate of Service and Document Delivery – Disseminate all initial decisions, agency decisions, orders, forms, certificates of record, memoranda and office correspondence.

  • Customer Service – Serve as a liaison between the public and the judges.

  • File Maintenance – Create, label and file all documents for hearings.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience Only:
At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a legal environment or general office support that includes customer service.

OR

Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in a legal environment or general office support that includes customer service equal to at least two (2) years.


The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:

  • Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position

  • Experience in a legal or health care related environment

  • Experience in data entry and database management

  • Attention to detail, organization, time management, accuracy skills


Conditions of Employment:

  • A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.


Comparative Analysis Process
The comparative analysis process for this position may consist of a structured application review, an online assessment and a structured interview.

Appeal Rights:

An applicant who has been removed from an employment list or removed from consideration during the selection process may request a review by the State Personnel Director.


As an applicant directly affected by the results of the selection or comparative analysis process, you may file a written appeal with the State Personnel Director.


Review of the completed, signed and submitted appeal will be timely on the basis of written material submitted by you, using the official appeal form signed by you or your representative.

This form must be completed and delivered to the State Personnel Board by email at dpa_state.personnelboard@state.co.us within ten (10) calendar days from your receipt of notice or acknowledgement of the Department’s action.
