Full Job Description

This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Philadelphia - Safety and Health Division.

As a Die Finishing Specialist Leader, you will be a working leader in which the employee is responsible for the set-up, operation and to maintain a number of automated machine tools to prepare numismatic dies in the production of proof coins..

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.

You must meet the screen-out element Ability to Lead or Supervise, normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions.

To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: planned and adhered to established daily, weekly or monthly work assignment schedules, deadlines, priorities, methods and policies; trained others in work procedures; explained work procedures and manuals; instructed, guided and reviewed the work of others; communicated changes in priorities and procedures; motivated employees to perform accurate and efficient work to produce a quality result; and tracked goals and targets to ensure they are met.

In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified.

Major Duties:

As a Die Finishing Specialist Leader, you will: Assure that assignments, as directed by the supervisor, are made to other workers in such a manner that the continuity of operations is maintained.

Plan daily work schedules, determine priorities, and coordinate assignments concerning material and equipment. Pass on to other workers the instructions received from supervisor.
