  • Ability to relocate to Poznan, Poland for a 24-month unaccompanied or accompanied tour

About the Position: Selectee will receive a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) to Poznan, Poland with a 24-month tour unaccompanied (or accompanied with dependent family members over the age of 18).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Administration and Management: Ensuring quality performance of contracted services of security guards, emergency dispatchers, emergency medical treatment, ambulance services etc.

Planning and Evaluating: Coordinating activities with the other garrisons to ensure efficient protection/prevention program management.

Public Safety and Security: Exercising responsibility for law enforcement or fire protection/prevention programs that directly affect the life, health or safety of a community.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Major Duties:

  • Ensure the efficient delivery of law enforcement, physical security and fire emergency services for installation.
  • Coordinate law enforcement actions with local authorities to ease potential negative effects on surrounding communities.
  • Monitor law enforcement and fire protection and prevention programs, projects, operations and other activities to ensure short and long term goals are met.
  • Assign work based on relative priorities in consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments.
