Job Description

Summary

This role involves leading efforts to ensure naval aviation units are prepared for combat by managing training, maintenance, and logistics support on a daily basis.

It requires overseeing teams, developing long-term plans, and advising senior leaders on readiness programs within the U.S. Pacific Fleet.

A good fit would be someone with military or aviation management experience who excels at coordination, problem-solving, and strategic planning.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a DEPUTY ASST CHIEF OF STAFF (D-ACOS) FORCE READINESS in the Force Readiness Directorate (N40) of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical and administrative supervision over aviation force readiness programs by planning, coordinating, and executing warfighting capabilities, operational readiness, aviation training and maintenance.

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day matters within the organization and for the readiness and logistics support of assigned forces.
  • You will provide professional leadership, administrative support and advice to the Assistant Chief of Staff on all N40 programs and responsibilities.
  • You will establish program objectives and long ranges plans for aviation force readiness levels.
  • You will exercise delegated authority to oversee the planning, direction and timely execution of the N40 Directorate mission.
  • You will manage the development of policy changes.
  • You will direct, coordinate or oversee work of subordinate supervisors and managers.
  • You will provide advice and counsel or instructions on work and administrative matters to all levels of personnel.
  • You will review contractual, financial, material, production and technical reports to provide advice and direction.
  • You will serve as a representative for COMNAVAIRFOR at conferences and agencies to resolve differences in viewpoints on key issues of training and force readiness.
  • You will maintain a continuing review of war plans, emergency plans, warfare publications and doctrine.
