Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting the Defense Travel System by helping with troubleshooting travel issues, managing charge accounts, and auditing expenses for the U.S. Marine Corps in Hawaii.

You'll assist in daily operations, plan work schedules, provide guidance to staff, and organize training for travelers.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a DEFENSE TRAVEL SYSTEM HELP DESK COORDINATOR in the MARINE CORPS FORCES PACIFIC (MARFORPAC).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing a variety of administrative, management and coordination duties in support of automated travel management systems programs such as troubleshooting traveler's issues, monitoring official travel charge accounts and auditing Government Travel Charge accounts.

  • You will assist the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) as the focal point for deployments, maintenance, and day-to-day operations.
  • You will assist the LDTA in planning work to be accomplished, setting, and adjusting short-term priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • You will provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • You will be responsible for conducting detailed reviews of individual Government Travel Charge (GTCC) accounts during post payment audits and provide reports as appropriate.
  • You will be responsible for developing and scheduling training of all travelers and officials as required.
