As a Database Administrator 2, you will manage the IMS/DB2 Database Administration Section within the Operations Division of the IED Delivery Center which serves the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).
Within this role, you will perform administrative and highly advanced technical work in managing the Section in all phases of information technology in a large scale complex computer database/data communications environment with both IBM mainframe and distributed processing.
PennDOT represents a technically advanced state transportation center requiring research, analysis, and associated technical support for all department database administration activity.
The IMS/DB2 Database Administration Section is responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of all databases in support of PennDOT’s 24 hour, 7 day a week, around the clock production system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
