This job is for a Database Administrator in Pennsylvania's government IT team, where you'll manage and support databases to keep public safety systems running smoothly and securely.
You'll handle tasks like planning, designing, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting issues for state police applications.

PSITDC's work is a strong, but often invisible part of government services delivered through the PA State Police (PSP) and supporting vendors.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the application development lifecycle through planning, designing, developing, implementing, data migration, quality assurance, data cleanup, and data administration.
Work involves database operation activities such as database administration, database security, assuring availability, server monitoring, performance monitoring, capacity planning, SQL software installation and configuration, and Service Pack installations.
You will also have the opportunity to provide high quality and professional customer service to vendors and service providers to address technical support issues.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
