This job involves creating and delivering training programs for staff in child and youth services to support the healthy growth of kids in a military community in Germany.
It requires planning training sessions, observing programs, and managing budgets to ensure high-quality childcare and youth activities.

Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Available to CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives and bonuses will not be paid.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: (QUAL 1) Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in child development (including directly related behavioral science), childhood education, or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled consistent with: For positions in SAS - Early Childhood/Child Development; Youth Development; Elementary Education, and/or Secondary Education.
OR (QUAL 2) Combination of education and experience as follows: Successful completion of at least 24 semester hours in a major course of study in an appropriate CYS field commensurate with the program assigned as indicated above, plus appropriate work experience that provided knowledge skills and abilities directly related to the duties described in the fields appropriate to the position.
Appropriate experience and course work must be comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
In addition to meeting one of the requirements above (QUAL 1 or QUAL 2) candidate must possess: 1. At least twelve (12) months experience working in child and youth programs. 2.
At least one year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.
3. The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions. 4.
Experience in planning and conducting training for child and youth staff.5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Highly preferred candidates will possess the following: At least 1 year of management/ Trainer experience in CYS (Child and Youth Services) At least 3 years of CYS (Child and Youth Services) experience The experience and knowledge listed above MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate.
