This position is located at a Panzer Child Development Center, Stuttgart, Germany.
Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25 % childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: (Qualification 1) Successful completion of an undergraduate Degree that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in the fields appropriate to the position consistent with: For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as related behavioral science.
OR (Qualification 2) A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
In addition to the basic requirements stated above (Qualification 1 OR Qualification 2) all candidates must possess the following: 12 months of professional experience in managing a child or youth facility is required.
This experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower level to include the following: Demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting, facility management, supply management, program development, implementation, selection, training and supervision of personnel and curriculum oversight.
The ability to plan and organize work, analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data and recognize solutions.
Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills.4. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least one year of experience working as an Assistant Director, Director or in a training position in an Army CYS Child Development Center (CDC).
Possess at least one year of direct experience working with and being responsible for assisting the CDC in achieving NAEYC accreditation.
Possess at least one year of experience implementing the Department of Defense (DoD) certification standards within an Army Child Development Center The experience and knowledge listed above MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred/Best Qualified candidate.
