Summary
This job is for a custodial worker who keeps living and common areas clean at a military camp on Hawaii's Big Island, handling tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
It involves using various cleaning tools and equipment safely, including moving furniture and climbing ladders.

Key Requirements
- Knowledge and ability to clean rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas using sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing with light and heavy-duty powered equipment
- Skill in operating industrial equipment for cleaning rugs, drapes, and performing routine equipment maintenance
- Ability to clean, disinfect, deodorize toilet facilities, dust areas, empty trash, make beds, and change linen
- Capability to wash walls, windows, blinds, and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds, and safety belts, and move heavy furniture
- Understanding of proper uses of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions to remove various stains from different surfaces
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Physical ability to perform demanding cleaning tasks and maintain tools and equipment
