Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading a team in handling child support cases, preparing legal documents for court, and providing enforcement services to help families and vulnerable adults in South Carolina.
It requires supervising staff, managing caseloads, and coordinating with courts and other agencies to ensure fair support obligations.

Job Duties:
Prepares cases for court; verifies and notarizes pleadings, schedules hearings, files papers with the Clerk of Court, and utilizes DSS Palmetto Automated Child Support System (PACSS), Word, Outlook, and TEAMS.
Liaison with Court personnel and with Sheriff's personnel responsible for service of process of legal documents.
Maintains control of assigned caseload; handles correspondence and telephone inquiries relating to child support services. Processes and monitors intergovernmental cases.
Keep other states advised of all activities; responsible for identifying and making recommendations on problems with the child support system and participating in the solutions.
Examples of possible areas would be service of process and scheduling of cases.
Maintains case records, case narrative establish and maintain documents on laptop computer electronically (into agency designated system) for documentation and auditing purposes as required by agency policy in a timely manner.
Communication with other units within the Child Support Services Division and other components within the Department of Social Services: access case data in PACSS and OnBase, as well as financial information to ensure distribution of collections.
Interprets child support services programs to clients, general public and to the community as needed.
