Summary

Full Job Description

The Division of Administrative Services, Justice and Community Service (DAS/JCS) seeks a candidate to fill an opening for a Criminal Justice Specialist 2.

Under general supervision of a program manager, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • One or more Federal or State Grant-In-Aid Programs to include coordination with committees and related workgroups.
  • Assisting in the reviewing of sub-grant applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Reviewing of sub-grant goals and objectives for a form of measurement and evaluation.
  • On and off-site reviewing of grant program activities.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to sub-grantees as requested.
  • Maintain current knowledge of State, Federal and Agency rules which govern the above-mentioned programs.
  • Attend national and state workshops and training on the above-mentioned programs, and perform related tasks as required.
  • Assess programs using evaluation tools to assess program effectiveness.
  • Travel is involved, both in state and out of state for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate will be subject to a criminal history background check and must possess a valid West Virginia Driver's License.

Qualifications

Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or part-time equivalent paid professional experience in grants development or grants administration, planning, project administration, criminal justice, investigations, data analysis, statistics, research or mathematics.
OR
Substitution: Graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience based on fifteen (15) semester hours for one (1) year of experience.

Additional Information
