Job Description

Summary

This job involves providing everyday administrative help to social services staff in Anderson County, with a big focus on managing a group of state vehicles by tracking maintenance, assigning them to workers, and keeping them clean.

Job Duties:

  • The County Admin Support Specialist II provides administrative support for Anderson County DSS staff, especially in the area of maintaining a fleet of state vehicles.

Maintains fleet of state vehicles.

Track maintenance requirements ensuring maintenance is done timely; ensure monthly mileage requirements are met on each vehicle; assign vehicles to workers per daily requests via e-mail; log monthly mileage in computer database; monitor cleanliness of vehicles and ensure vehicles are washed monthly.


  • Stamps outgoing mail; provides Switchboard backup and support, when needed.

  • Signs Agency and Client Trust account checks & makes bank deposits.


  • Ensures that personal; identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

  • Performs emergency disaster management services to include American Red Cross sheltering and Disaster Snap duties; performs other related duties as required.


Requirements

A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience, or an Associate Degree in secretarial science or a related field.

A Bachelor’s Degree may be substituted for all or part of the work requirements.
