As a Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman, you support the ongoing operation of a 1.2 million gallon capacity water treatment plant using solid knowledge and communication skills while working hands-on with inmates learning the standard principles of water treatment plant maintenance.
This will include:
Operating, maintaining, and repairing pumps, valves, chlorinators, chemical feeders, compressors, laboratory equipment, and computer monitoring systems
Performing daily laboratory testing
Checking equipment calibration
Adjusting required chemical dosages and monitoring gauges, meters, and sensing devices
Updating tool and toxic supply inventory records
Ensuring compliance with all Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulations
