Requirements
As a Corrections School Principal, you will be responsible for directing and administering the school within SCI Huntingdon. In this role, you will plan objectives and curriculum for educational programs and oversee the implementation of all program rules, regulations, and policies. You will also supervise professional educators, schedule classes, administer the General Educational Development (GED) program, and evaluate purchase requests against educational budgets. This position requires independent work and will be reviewed by an administrative supervisor for adherence to educational standards, established policies and procedures, and the achievement of program objectives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of professional educational experience, including three years as a classroom teacher or education counselor in a public school, licensed private school, or an adult correctional education program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes three years of professional educational experience as a classroom teacher or education counselor in a public school, licensed private school, or an adult correctional education program approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
Other Requirements:- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
