As a Corrections General Industries Factory Foreperson for the Department of Corrections, you will perform and oversee advanced manufacturing work in the production or processing of products or services.
Work involves instructing, training, and supervising inmates in the practices, methods, and procedures of the industry.
You will provide demonstrations, explanations, and close supervision during training and work assignments.
This includes responsibility for planning, assigning, reviewing and evaluating the work of assigned inmates.
Our team will rely on you to maintain training progress reports, wage reports, and attendance records for assigned inmates and to maintain established standards of quality and quantity during production.
This is accomplished through the inspection of equipment, raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and repair of factory equipment.
