One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: experience assisting in the management of projects. This includes performing project estimates and budget submittals.

Examples of Specialized Experience include: Assisting/monitoring the terms and conditions of multiple service contracts in accordance with applicable regulations; preparing written cost estimates; and performing project estimates and budget submittals.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), monitoring the terms and conditions of multiple service contracts.
  • Ensures all maintenance work orders are processed through the Army Corps of Engineers and are completed. Prepares written cost estimates on behalf of the Contracting Office (CO).
  • Maintains records/files to document and describe contractor’s performance; ensures they are of a quality and content sufficient enough to assist and defend the Government in any pre and post award protests, litigations, suits, disputes, and claims.
  • Perform project officer duties on telephony project, gathering requirements for Columbus site and ensuring local conversion of phone system.
