Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting the U.S.

Navy's ship maintenance programs by reviewing contracts, creating work statements and funding plans, and monitoring contractor performance to ensure everything runs smoothly.

A good fit would be someone with experience in government or private sector contracting, especially in defense or maintenance fields, who is detail-oriented and comfortable advising teams and preparing reports.

It requires strong organizational skills to handle training, surveillance, and communication tasks.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a CONTRACT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in FORCE SHIP MAINTAINENCE/MATERIEL READINESS DIRECTORATE of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reviewing contract requirements, generating statements of work (SOW), developing funding documents, or evaluating contractor price/cost data to support ship maintenance program.

  • You will serve as the principle advisor for the Ship Maintenance and Materiel Readiness Directorate.
  • You will translate project requirements into contractual vehicles through assisting with generation of contractual documents such as statements of work, funding documents, etc.
  • You will arrange and monitor training for all contract representatives within the division.
  • You will prepare written comprehensive technical advisory reports.
  • You will submit reports regarding the contractor's performance.
  • You will perform periodic on-site surveillance of contractors performing acquisition cost reimbursement contracts.
  • You will prepare status reports and make oral presentations to effectively communicate findings.
