You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Centers (FLCs) Contracting Departments of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
GS-12:In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a thorough knowledge of contract administration/procurement principles, policies, regulations, and procedures to administer group contracts and post award procurement actions.
Specific work experience must demonstrate all of the following duties: 1) Provide knowledge of various contracts, methods of contracting, and selection factors to plan appropriate strategies to procure requirements and conduct negotiations in the pre-award and post-award phases of contracting; 2) Utilize knowledge of program objectives, technical terminology, and uses of equipment or services procured to successfully participate in planning, negotiation, and administration; 3) Provide knowledge of commercial and industrial business practices (e.g., subcontracting of raw materials or services and use of cost analysis techniques) sufficient to identify sources, analyze cost and pricing data, contract proposals, and evaluation of the offers for responsibility; and 4) Create and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), prepare and issue contracts, purchase orders, task orders, delivery orders, and modifications .GS-11:In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-9 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of contract administration/procurement principles, policies, regulation, and procedures relating to contract price/cost analysis, pre-award, and post award procurement actions.
