Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing government contracts for the U.S. Marine Corps in Japan, including planning purchases, negotiating deals, and ensuring everything follows the rules.

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the REGIONAL CONTRACTING OFFICE of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

GS :11 In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the 09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: in negotiating, award and modification of contract, contract administration, development of requirement and acquisition plan, solicitation AND execution of contract.

  • You will Establishes and implements a work schedule to ensures that necessary planning, coordination, approvals, negotiations and other procurement execution and administration requirements for assignments are completed IAW policy
  • You will Reviews requests for the procurement of complex equipment and services
  • You will requirement, recommends, and provides guidance in the development and/or revisions to the SOW/PWS.
  • You will Develops procurement plans and issues solicitation documents assuring that all applicable laws and regulations are observed.
  • You will Plans and conducts post-award conferences to assure understanding of contractual requirements
