Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing the entire process of government contracts, from planning and negotiating deals for supplies and services to closing them out or handling terminations.

It's a role for someone with experience in procurement who can handle complex agreements and make decisions that commit government funds.

A good fit would be a detail-oriented professional with a background in contracting, either in government or private sectors, who enjoys problem-solving in a structured environment.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent in performing pre- and post-award functions for complex contracts
  • Meet Department of Defense (DoD) qualification standards for GS-1102 contracting positions

Full Job Description

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the NAVSUP FLC YOKO REG.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Performing pre and post-award functions for procurements involving complex contracts for supplies and services.

Serving as a Contracting Officer with the authority to contractually obligate the Government with monetary limitation of warrant.
