Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing complex government contracts for supplies and services in the Navy's family support programs, including planning purchases, analyzing costs, and ensuring everything follows rules.

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Fleet & Family Readiness Programs of CNI DETACHMENT MILLINGTON.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Knowledge of the use of special provisions and incentives to plan and carry out contracting assignments related to pre-award or post-award functions, price/cost analysis, and/or the review of these functions.
2.) Familiarity with business practices and market conditions sufficient to evaluate bid responsiveness, contractor responsibility and contractor performance.
3.) Ability to present factual information; compose memoranda, minutes, and reports; and draft contract provisions and supporting documents.
