About the Position: This position is located at Patient Admistration, Army Medical Center Eisenhower. Serves as a Contact Representative in the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) Section.

Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

GS-6 Grade Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated medical database, researching established policies, procedures, or other guidance related to medical referrals, and providing customer service.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management, Health Administration and Public Management.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9.

Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

GS-7 Grade Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing medical records for accuracy; advising patients on the medical evaluation process such as explaining medical board findings, medical forms, and medical test preparations; scheduling medical appointments; and making travel arrangements for patient's scheduled appointments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management, Health Administration and Public Management.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

  • Performs administrative processing, coordination, and tracking of all actions required for Soldiers undergoing evaluation through the Army Disability Evaluation System.
  • Performs technical and organizational support duties involving work measurement, forecasting, capacity planning, and scheduling to support workflow efficiency.
  • Requests medical records and searches for misplaced records to ensure availability for patient care and MEB processing.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, services, and medical appointments for patients and their Family members traveling from distant locations for MEB-related care.
